I have a 420 W 4-way car audio system. Need to know about sub woofers and Amps for my car?

I have two 4-way Pioneer 420 Watt speakers at the rear and 2 lesser wattage front speakers in my Suzuki Swift. I get decent performance out of it and my Sony X-plod head unit also has performed flawlessly so far. But i am now looking to get more out of it. I have set a budget of about Rs 40,000 and i am looking to get more power and overall enhanced effects. I am not sure if getting a sub-woofer or an Amplifier alone ( not sure if Amp will work without a sub-woofer) will help me get the power and effect i am looking for. I am also aware that Swift is a small car and going for very powerful specifications might actually kill the overall experience. Please advice on how to go about picking the right brands and also the combination of equipments i need to get to enhance the music experience.
